AFAP demonstrate power of improved agro-inputs

A key objective of Sustain Africa is to bolster smallholder farmers’ capacity by enhancing their understanding and access to sustainable agricultural inputs.

With this in mind, AFAP has provided information on how farmers could access improved seeds and fertilizers, including details on nearby suppliers and potential financing options, during a farmer’s day.

Overall, the Farmer Field Day marked a significant step towards the mission of AFAP and Sustain Africa in promoting sustainable agriculture in Mozambique.

By educating farmers on the benefits of agro inputs, the initiative has not only equipped them with knowledge to improve their farming practices and yields, but also hopes to stimulate a broader change in agricultural productivity across the region.

The success of the event highlights the importance of continuous education and shared learning experiences in transforming the agricultural landscape. It remains a beacon of hope for smallholder farmers in Tete and beyond, sowing the seeds of change for a more productive and sustainable future.

Sustain Africa is an agricultural emergency response and collaborative platform for Africa that aims to enhance agriculture value chains and food systems in Africa. The initiative is currently being implemented by AFAP across multiple countries across the continent.
