FUCHS LUBRICANTS SOUTH AFRICA has a long, proud history of sponsoring racing teams
From its long-standing partnership with the Wilfords V8 supercars to Marc Gleed in the Rusgenot power boating team and numerous other luminaries, FUCHS LUBRICANTS SOUTH AFRICA has a long history of sponsoring several racing teams.
The sponsorship is part of FUCHS’ ‘MOVING YOUR WORLD’ campaign, which focuses on efficient and sustainable lubrication solutions. “We support our customers, provide impulses, and move their world, with unconditional reliability. This represents the basis of our work, our claim, and our promise, both internally and externally,” says Kayla Van Vught, Marketing Specialist at FUCHS.
With its diverse sponsorship range, the company wanted to take it a step further by backing its FUCHS SILKOLENE brand in the motorsport market. With much of its sponsorships racing being either enduro or motocross, FarmJam was an ideal to build brand awareness. “The hare scramble-styled series has a long-standing history in enduro of 13-plus years, which brings us closer to the end user,” says Kayla.
With the technical knowledge of its sales force on-site, FUCHS was ready to engage and educate customers. The FarmJam sponsorship saw the FUCHS retail team on-site with its striking oil drum trailer, from which it sold products and exclusive merchandise.
“As the only lubricant supplier, we attend every race and share title sponsorship with Dunlop. Furthermore, within the 19 race divisions available, the top five finalists in each class, receive a complimentary FUCHS SILKOLENE product, which is a nice win across the board!” says Kayla.
An example of popular TITAN products used for sponsorship purposes is TITAN RACE PRO S SAE 10W-60. This has been developed especially for professional use in racing applications by offering optimum protection due to minimised frictional losses and a stable oil film. Others include TITAN SUPERSYN LONGLIFE SAE 5W-40 and TITAN SINTOPOID LS 75W- 90.
