Osino announce high-grade gold intercepts at Twin Hills

Situated about 150 KM from Windhoek, the Osino Resources Twin hills project, is making significant strides. The company recently released an update, in the last quarter of the year, on the ongoing infill drill program, unveiling remarkable results that suggest the presence of high-grade gold mineralization and best hole drill on the deposit.

The systematic, tightly spaced infill drilling at Bulge is producing some very positive results with a best so far of 61m @ 3.21g/t, including 1m @ 106g/t.

“This result indicates that there are some small but very high-grade shoots within the Twin Hills deposit that could enhance the resource numbers and production gold grade down the line. The drill program is being carried out at grade control spacing thus significantly de-risking the early production at the Bulge pit and further validates the modelling methodology used to derive the Twin Hills mineral resource numbers,” said Underwood, the companies Vice President.

The infill drill program at Twin Hills focused on the Bulge year one starter pit, where sub-cropping mineralization is prevalent, and this year’s results have been nothing short of impressive.

According to the company a total of 11,427m from 110 reverse circulation (RC) holes were completed within a block of 160m x 110m (Figure 1). These holes were drilled on a 12.5m x 12.5m grid spacing and ranged in depth from 60m to 120m. Drilling to a datum, the program conforms to the existing inclined drill pattern with holes drilled at minus 60° dip towards the south-southeast. The drill program covers the Bulge year one starter pit hosting sub-cropping mineralisation, which plunges north-northeast to form the main ore shoot

The infill drilling program at Twin Hills is part of Osino’s strategy to de-risk the early production phase and validate the modeling methodology used in estimating the project’s mineral resources.

The results of the infill drilling program have unveiled promising signs for the Twin Hills Gold Project. One particular highlight is an intercept of 61 meters at an average grade of 3.21 grams per ton, with an astonishing 1-meter section grading at an exceptional 106 grams per ton. These results hint at the presence of small, high-grade mineralization shoots within the deposit, which could have a substantial impact on resource estimates and production grades.

Osino Resources is geared to providing the smooth and de-risked early production at the Bulge pit. The tightly spaced infill drilling program is a crucial step in achieving this goal. By obtaining high-quality data, the company can fine-tune its geological and resource modeling techniques and parameters. This is essential for ensuring that the early production phase proceeds as planned, minimizing potential setbacks and uncertainties

With pending assay results yet to be received, the infill drilling program is on track to fulfill its ultimate objective: confirming and upgrading the next iteration of the Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE). The current MRE stands at 2.94 million ounces at 1.08 grams per ton in the Indicated and Measured categories, and 0.25 million ounces at 1.10 grams per ton in the Inferred category.

“A similar exercise at the Twin Hills Central (THC) portion of the pit was successfully completed in 2022 which validated the wider spaced modelling and resulted in a significant increase in grade over that mineral resource block without a loss in contained metal.

“We are very pleased to see that this effect seems to be playing out at the Bulge portion of the Twin Hills deposit as well. Once we have received all the outstanding results, we will quantify this data and incorporate it into an updated Twin Hills mine plan,” said Underwood.

The company is not resting on its laurels either. A further infill drill program has already commenced at the Clouds and Twin Hills Central (THC) pits. The aim is to convert the first 2 years of mining from the Indicated category to the Measured category. This move significantly reduces the risk associated with the initial years of ore mining, aligning with the company’s financial objectives.

The technical team is currently implementing the next phase of the detailed infill program, which consists of approximately 3,500m for expansion of the infill grid over THC and a further 2,000m to drill out a representative grid on the higher-grade Clouds orebody.

The infill results will provide detailed data to confirm and refine modelling and estimation activities, while unlocking additional value by de-risking the mine plan and scheduling, particularly during the production ramp up stage, most likely before the year end of 2023, the company can provide further update on these promising findings.

The company is making considerable progress in refining its geological models, improving resource estimates, and de-risking the initial production phase at the Twin Hills Gold Project.

Meanwhile the presence of high-grade gold mineralization within the deposit adds a positive twist to the narrative, underscoring the project’s potential to become a significant player in the world of gold mining in Namibia. As the assay results trickle in, the future of Twin Hills looks even brighter for now.
