Develon-Fest on display
Develon – formerly Doosan – hosted an open day event recently, at its premises in Isando, Johannesburg.
This was a traditional Oktober-Fest with a difference. Instead of an oompah brass band, leather breeches – lederhosen – and dames decked out in dirndls, gigantic orange coloured Develon construction machines were the highlight of the Develon-Fest.
Guests were invited to closely inspect these impressive machines; to enjoy an array of well-chilled beer and feast on fest styled gastronomic delights. A highlight of the event was an address by economist Dawie Roodt, who presented practical tips on overcoming some challenges in South Africa.
